Hydro-cyclone is used to separate the heavy impurities of coarse granular materials in the wastewater such as mud. Sometimes it is used in sludge dewatering. Hydro-cyclone include in two kind of Partial pressure and gravity type , and often used circular cylinder structures or metal. Water by pressure or gravity enter into the equipment in the upper structures (or tube) along the tangent line, under the effect of centrifugal force, the heavy particles were thrown down to the wall and rotating with the thick liquid discharge. The smaller particles rotates to a certain degree with the secondary vortex flow up discharging out. The principle diagram is as fellow:

Hydro-cyclone is mainly used in mining industry classification, concentration, dehydration, desliming, degritting, washing and ultrafine classification process.

Ⅳ Feature and Advantage

• Feeding using the involute direction, increasing the material of the centrifugal force. It improves the effect of the grading and reducing the wear of the feed box.
• Hydro-cyclone cone length ratio with column and the overflow tube insertion depth are all reasonable, and the classification efficiency is higher.
• Using wear-resisting rubber as lining, which can prolong the hydro-cyclone service life of 2-4 times.
• The structure is reasonable, and calssification index is higher, with less index volatile.
